People use Kik to stay updated with their friends or to chat with strangers that they have met online. A lot of people like Kik due to it being free and that you can be “anonymous” on the app if you choose to do so. This could make it easier to use Kik secretly to hide messages from the people you care about. Therefore, a lot of significant others and teenagers could use this app to hide what they are doing from their partner or parent. If you are concerned that someone you care about is using Kik behind your back, then it is important to know how to find someone on Kik. 

How to Find Someone on Kik

Search Through Their Phone Apps 

If you have access to your partner’s or child’s phone, then there is a way to see if they have downloaded Kik. All you need to do is search for Kik on the App Store or Google Play store. Then, click on the Kik app to see if they have already “purchased” the app. 

For Apple, it will show a cloud icon to download the app or an “Open” button  if they have already downloaded the app. For Android, go to the menu and click “My apps and games.” Then, tap “Installed” and then “Library” to see all the apps they have ever downloaded.

Use the Search Bar on Kik

If you can’t look through the person’s phone, you can search for them on the Kik app’s search bar! To get started, download the Kik app and create an account. Then, go to their search bar and type in a name, username, email address, or phone number they could’ve used to create the account.

If there is an account associated with the information you entered, then chances are they have an account on Kik. Screenshot the account you found that is associated with their information and confront them. If there isn’t an account based on the information you entered, then don’t lose hope! There are still other ways to find someone on Kik.

Look Through Their Social Media Profiles

Sometimes, people will list their Kik information on their Facebook or Instagram bios so that people will follow their Kik. If someone has Kik information on their social media profiles, then you’re in luck! Search up the username they are advertising to find their profile.

If their social media profiles are not advertising their Kik information, then there are still other ways to find them on Kik. Even the most hidden profiles can be found with the right tools and motivation.

Perform a Reverse Search with Social Catfish

Social Catfish is a reverse search platform that allows you to find hidden information about someone, as long as you have their basic information. All you need to perform a search is their name, email address, phone number, social media username, or image to see if they have a Kik profile. Once you enter this information, your results will pop-up within a few minutes!
