If you are a user of a dynamic DNS client software package please contact the author of the software on how to properly configure your client. At no time should your dynamic DNS client software package point at www.whatismyipaddress.com. Dynamic DNS client packages pointed at our homepage will not work as desired.

If you are the author of a dynamic DNS client software package or other automated script please do not point your client package to our homepage. Dynamic DNS client packages pointed at our homepage will not work as desired. We are currently processing over 500,000 client requests per day and are not interested in serving up the full page to those requests. Something about an extra 30+ GB of bandwidth a month is not appealing to us. If you would like to utilize our site's service for automated lookups we are willing to work with you.

We currently provide IP resolution for a number of Dynamic DNS providers. We're setup to handle plenty more.
