SpamCop Blocking List

SpamCop is a fast and automatic blacklist of sites sending reported, flagged email, comprised from several sources, including automated reports and user submissions. Spamcop’s Blacklist is very aggressive and will often err on the side of caution. In other words, when in doubt, Spamcop blocks it. While this may keep some legitimate email from getting through, it also makes sure the percentage of spam blocked is extremely high. Furthermore, in order to combat wanted email from getting blocked by the filter, Spamcop also uses a user generated “whitelist” of acceptable websites and email servers. Removal from the Spamcop Blacklist is time-based, meaning sites are automatically taken off of it after a set period of time has elapsed after the last piece of spam was received -- if no other spam was received in the interim.
